I'm very new to the SCA, but have always loved costuming and jewelry making. I found "Jewelry: From Antiquity to the Present" by Clare Phillips to be a wonderful resource, but I need more! I have the required skills and patience to create just about any type of beadwork, and I'd very much like to create reproductions that look absolutely authentic, but I'm finding it incredibly difficult to come up with resources. Ideally I'm looking for something titled Jewelry of the Medieval Ages or some such, but haven't come up with anything despite weeks of looking.
Does anyone know where I can find authentic resources for Historic jewelry making? Preferably anything beaded from western europe, about 300ad-1500ad. :)
